When should you pay for shredding? Short answer: NEVER.
If you know me at all, then you know that when I find a company that supports the special needs community, not only do I use them, but I tell all my friends too. Recently I went through all of my files (years and years worth of printed documents) and needed to find a safe way to get rid of them. Of course shredding is the best way, but I knew I would burn up my shredder if I tried to sit around and shred these papers piece by piece. In doing my research for a place to shred them for me, I found “Shred for Good”. This shredding facility is a division of Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. Shred for Good does secure document destruction compliant and certified. Challenge Enterprises employs individuals with special needs. Located in Clay county, this facility offers free residential shredding on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-12pm every week! How great is that?! So not only are you saving your personal information from identity theft, you are also helping to employ an individual with special needs! Having used this service myself, I can tell you personally that the folks at Shred for Good are friendly and helpful. I can tell you it is easy to find, and easy to use. Please support your local businesses that support the special needs community! It means a lot to me personally, and a lot to them too. Happy Shredding!
