SHOPPING

St. Johns County has created a new website for helping locals know what restaurants and stores are now open! Check it out here at Shop and Dine SJC

Old Towne Toys – Interactive Toy Store for children in St. Augustine! Olde Towne Toys was started by a couple of moms who wanted educational, fun and really cool toys for their children.  Saint Augustine is a small wonderful community; but, we didn’t have a toy store.  So, we made it our goal to open a store that you could come in and play!  Isn’t that what it’s all about! Children that learn through play tend to be more creative.  We have a little area in the back with a train table, kitchen and doll house for the little one’s to play in as the parents shop.  Or, you can rest your legs on the bench and watch them play.  We also have lots of samples of the toys out on the shelves for you to try. All year long we work on bringing in new and exciting toys, books, ride-on’s etc.  We go to the big Toy Fair in New York City every year to see what’s hot and then we attend the ASTRA Toy Fair which is geared for the specialty toy store.  We have a pretty wide variety for a little store.  Once you come in and enjoy the experience….you’ll be back.

Coming soon: Greenwise at WGV – Just across the street from Mill Creek Academy at the corner of IGP and SR16.

Clark Appliances – excellent service, local shop, they will even price match. They carry all the major brands. Located downtown St. Augustine off US 1 near the old Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway Buildings that are now the renovated upperclassman Flagler College residence halls.

The Pavilion at Durbin Park is a brand new shopping plaza coming to 9B, near 210. This will bring big retail much closer to World Golf Village. Some of the stores that have already signed leases include:

Your Pie – Sprint – Lee Nails – Tropical Smoothie Cafe – Care Spot – Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa – Great Clips – Salsas Mexican Restaurant – Cleaners – Heartland Dental – Chase – Mattress Firm – Keke’s Breakfast Café – The Home Depot – Cinemark Movie Theater – Burlington – Dollar Tree – Petco – Five Below – Gate – Verizon – Firehouse Subs – Asian Fusion – Walmart – AT&T – Kazu Sushi Burrito – Smoothie King – Baptist Health

Of course the big two on that list are Walmart and Cinemark Movie Theater. Walmart and Home Depot are open now with the others very soon to follow. Here is the link to the news story from Action News Jax. More building and additions to that area will be coming, so I’ll be sure to keep you posted as I hear more .
