Historic Downtown St. Augustine:

National Parks Service – Castillo de San Marcos – A monument not only of stone and mortar but of human determination and endurance, the Castillo de San Marcos symbolizes the clash between cultures which ultimately resulted in our uniquely unified nation. Still resonant with the struggles of an earlier time, these original walls provide tangible evidence of America’s grim but remarkable history.

National Parks Service – Fort Matanzas – Coastal Florida was a major field of conflict as European nations fought for control in the New World. As part of this struggle, Fort Matanzas guarded St. Augustine’s southern river approach. The colonial wars are over, but the monument is still protecting—not just the historic fort, but also the wild barrier island and the plants and animals who survive there amidst a sea of modern development.

Cathedral Basilica – The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, home to America’s First Parish, is a house of worship laden with centuries of history. We always welcome visitors to join us in prayer. When the church is not being used for liturgical functions, it is open to the public for touring. We offer you this virtual look at the splendors of the Cathedral, but we invite you to come visit us in person as well, and make a pilgrimage to the beginnings of the Catholic Church in the United States.

St. Augustine Christmas parade was December 1st, 2018 and is an annual tradition. Beautiful fun way to start your annual holiday celebration! Starts at the Shrine of Our Lady de La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios, which is located at 27 Ocean Avenue, and ends at the St. Augustine Visitors Information Center at 10 W. Castillo Drive.
